The four tracks highlighted in BLUE have been licensed by TPL to Demon Records for this release The majority of the tapes that make up The Final Cuts were saved by a member of staff at Air Studios in London when it closed down in 1989. Over a decade later she gave them to Rolan who recently passed them on to Wizard (Bahamas) Ltd., who made them available to Edsel for this release. Subsequently, Edsel approached us and asked to license four tracks held by TPL to supplement their album. - the two tracks which open this release, the raw and rocking Hot George and the lilting pop that is Love & The Foxey Boy, and the two which close it, the mellow Shy Boy and Marc’s beautiful declaration of love to Gloria, Twentieth Century Baby. All tracks licensed from TPL tracks for this release were recorded at Decibel Studios, Stamford Hill, London in April 1977. Thunderwing Productions Limited look forward to working with Wizard (Bahamas) Ltd. on their own proposed release, TWENTIETH CENTURY ROCK’N’ROLL. The Final Cuts is also to be released in Japan on IMPERIAL, Cat. No. TECI 24380 The release date for this is 21st September and it will feature three tracks that have not been included for the UK release. These are...
